    Progress MS-02 Cargo Spacecraft Docks With ISS Automatically (VIDEO)

    The second modernized Progress MS cargo vessel on Saturday automatically docked with the International Space Station (ISS), a RIA Novosti correspondent reported from the Russian Mission Control Center near Moscow.

    KOROLYOV (Sputnik) — Progress MS-02 was launched from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan aboard the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket on Thursday, March 31. It is carrying over 2.5 tonnes of cargo, including fuel, food and technical equipment.

    "The docking has been a success. The gripping mechanism activated," the commentator said.
