Roscosmos said that the launch of the Soyuz 2-1B carrier rocket with the Resurs-P No.3 remote-sensing satellite has been postponed to Sunday evening.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The launch of the Soyuz 2-1B carrier rocket with the Resurs-P No.3 remote-sensing satellite has been postponed to Sunday evening, the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos said on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, an automatic engine cutoff cancelled the launch of the Russian Soyuz 2-1B rocket carrier from Baikonur.

"For technical reasons, the launch of Soyuz-2 —1B with the Resurs-P No. 3 remote-sensing satellite has been postponed to the backup date of March 13, 2016, 21:56 Moscow Time [6:56 GMT], " the Roscosmos' press service said in a statement.

According to the statement, no change in the schedule of Soyuz carrier rockets launches from Baikonur is planned.
