Over 3.7Mln COVID-19 Tests Conducted in Russia - Watchdog
07:21 GMT 01.05.2020 (Updated: 12:23 GMT 14.02.2023) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Over 3.7 million tests to detect COVID-19 have been conducted in Russia, and 211,000 suspected carriers across the country are under medical observation, the national public health watchdog said on Friday.
"Over 3.7 million tests for coronavirus have been conducted in Russia, and 211,000 people remain under medical observation", Rospotrebnadzor said.
As many as 225,000 tests have been conducted over the past 24 hours, the watchdog specified.
Russia's total COVID-19 count has reached 106,498 with 11,619 recoveries and 1,073 deaths.
Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said this week that Russia was developing a test system aimed at detecting antibodies in blood plasma, which can be used to treat patients with the coronavirus.
