An opposition activist chased Simonyan with a camera, continuously asking what were regarded as inappropriate and provocative questions about Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. In turn, Simonyan suggested to the activist that they take up their inquiry with the official press-service.

The opposition activist nonetheless continued to press Simonyan with questions. RT reported that Simonyan was hospitalized following the incident.
