MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian president also said that over 30 terror-related crimes have been prevented.

"Over the 10 months of 2016, more than 30 terrorism-related crimes, including 10 terrorist attacks, were prevented thanks to the Federal Security Service," Putin said.

In November, the FSB detained a group suspected of planning terrorist attacks in Moscow and St. Petersburg. They testified about links with Daesh commanders in the Middle East, aims and accomplices in Russia and other countries. Later, ten members of the group were arrested.
