MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Kremlin is yet unaware of Internet petition for the resignation of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

"No, we do not know about that [petition]. I do not think it requires some kind of reaction, but it depends, of course, on the nature of the petition. So far we did not have a chance to get acquainted with it," Peskov told reporters.

Earlier in the day, petition for the resignation of Medvedev from the prime minster's post appeared on the Change.org website. According to the petition authors, the initiative comes amid Medvedev's recent comments addressed to the Russian teachers during a youth forum he participated in, in which he urged them to change the vocation of try starting a business if unsatisfied with their earnings.

The petition has so far received 1306 supporters.
