    During a diplomatic accreditation ceremony in the Kremlin US Ambassador John Tefft was officially accepted as the ambassador of the United States to the Russian Federation.

    MOSCOW, November 19 (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday accepted John Tefft's credentials, officially accepting Tefft as the ambassador of the United States to the Russian Federation in a ceremony held in the Kremlin.

    Tefft was approved by the US Senate on July 31 and shortly afterwards moved to Moscow. Tefft is originally from Madison, Wisconsin.
