MOSCOW, August 18 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said the GDP could double following structural and institutional reforms.
"Such reforms are conducted often," the minister said after a government session. However, housing and communal reform is "stagnant and lop-sided," he added.
Kudrin also said such reform was successful in some regions like in Tatarstan in the Volga area, meaning the reform is attracting investments and Tatarstan will get modernized housing and communal services in five years.
Gas industry and land reforms, as well as standardization and certification of products, are also necessary, Kudrin said.
