Rostov-on-Don will host five matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

During the 2018 FIFA World Cup Rostov-on-Don will enter the Top-3 of the most visited cities in Russia, the Reina-tur agency head told local radio station FM-on-Don.

At the same time, she noted that the city had experienced a lack of roadside camp sites where those who travel through the Rostov region could stop.

However, over the last few years the city has shown a huge improvement in the tourism sector. For example, in 2017 the region entered the top-20 most attractive tourist regions in Russia.

Russia will host its first FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15, 2018. The matches will be held in the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Sochi.
