The International Criminal Court is set to open an investigation into war crimes in Afghanistan, which would mean the United States being openly investigated for the first time in the history of the court. Could the U.S. actually be prosecuted under the ICC, or is the investigation just a ploy for the organization to appear relevant and impartial?
