US, Russian Companies Interested in Partnership Despite New Sanctions Bill
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Senate has reached a deal to pass a new sanctions bill that affect Russia, Iran and North Korea, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker stated in a press release.

"I am glad to announce that we have reached an agreement that will allow us to send sanctions legislation to the president’s desk," Corker said on Wednesday.

Corker added that the House of Representatives will work to enhance sanctions on North Korea on its proposed sanctions bill.

On Tuesday, the House overwhelmingly approved a new version of a bill that would impose sweeping sanctions on Russia, Iran and North Korea and limit US President Donald Trump’s ability to lift the restrictions on Moscow. But the measure must pass the Senate before going to the president to sign or veto.
