    Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland said that Canada will respond appropriately if the United States imposes new border tariffs.

    WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Canada will respond appropriately if the United States imposes new border tariffs, Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland said in a briefing on Wednesday.

    "Canada thinks that [new taxes] would be a bad idea," Freeland told reporters. "Canada would respond appropriately."
