ANKARA (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about Turkey's role in the withdrawal of militants from Aleppo, as well as about negotiations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on offering the rival sides of the Syrian crisis to continue peace talks on a new platform.

"We are satisfied with our interaction on the Syrian settlement, in particular, the situation in Aleppo, with Russia. Russia fulfills all its obligations, and the Russian side sees that we also do all we promise to," a ministry spokesman told reporters in Ankara.

On December 27, foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey are expected to meet to discuss the situation in Aleppo.
