US Secretary of State John Kerry on Saturday promised to deliver the results of the so-called Friends of Syria Group ministerial meeting in Paris to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

PARIS (Sputnik) — An international meeting of Friends of Syria Group members was held in the French capital on Saturday. French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault as well as his counterparts from Germany, the United States, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Italy and Jordan participated in the meeting.

At the close of the meeting, Kerry told reporters that Lavrov would obtain the conclusions made and the group's collective thoughts, stressing that the countries thought the Syrian conflict could not be resolved militarily even if the war-torn city of Aleppo completely falls to government forces.
