    Francois Hollande said he plans to discuss the situation in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, the fight against terrorism as well as other issues during phone talks on Friday with Donald Trump.

    PARIS (Sputnik) French President Francois Hollande said he plans to discuss the situation in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, the fight against terrorism as well as other issues during phone talks on Friday with US President-elect Donald Trump.

    "You know the topics. What will be our position on the fight against terrorism? What will we do for Europe's security? What will be our position regarding Ukraine? What will we do on the situation in Syria and Iraq? All these questions should be raised," Hollande said in an interview with the France 2 broadcaster.

    Hollande confirmed earlier Friday that he planned to hold the first telephone talks with Trump later in the day.
