Philippine President’s Most Searing Insults to World Leaders
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Duterte is looking forward to "working with the incoming administration for enhanced Philippines-US relations anchored on mutual respect, mutual benefit and shared commitment to democratic ideals and the rule of law," the statement issued by the Presidential Communications Office reads, as cited by the Inquirer.

In October, Duterte stated that it was "time to say goodbye" to the United States’ use of Philippine land for military bases, secured by a deal signed by Duterte’s predecessor.

Earlier in the day, Trump won by a landslide with 276 votes to succeed current President Barack Obama. The president-elect will take office at the inauguration on January 20.
