MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to cooperate with any future US leader, be it Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, in order to promote the interests of Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
“For the president of Russia it is not important who it is – [Donald] Trump of Hillary Clinton, the most important is the interests of the Russian Federation. And for the interests of the Russian Federation, the president has repeatedly said it, he is ready to hold talks with any foreign leader, including the US, to develop fruitful bilateral cooperation, helping the two countries to prosper. Who will become the next US leader – this is not Putin’s question, and not the question of Russian citizens, it is the question of US electorate,” Peskov said.
