MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power acts aggressively and resorts to unacceptable language in her remarks on Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.
"I think she is a bit aggressive even for a representative of the United States. We believe that it is absolutely unacceptable to use this language," Lavrov said in an interview with the BBC World broadcaster.
The foreign minister also added, that everyone was aware of the manners Americans use when they attempt to work out solutions to the issues.
"I do not want to discuss the manners of our American colleagues……. I prefer to concentrate on the facts, not on some hysterical statements made when people lose control of events and of their selves," he reiterated.
The already strained relations between Russia and the United States have deteriorated as Washington along with other members of US-coalition has blamed Moscow for using its goal to counter international terrorism in Syria to cover up initial intentions in the war-shatter country. Moscow has denied the claims, saying that the only aim it pursues in Syria is to eradicate it from extremists.
