MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Lavrov and Kerry, who are both co-chairs of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG), met earlier in the day for talks on Syria at a Geneva hotel. A day before that, Lavrov also met with de Mistura.
"We did touch on the subject of humanitarian access and we did discuss, indeed, what would be the role the UN could, should be playing if…[a] deal [is] taking place today on the discussion between the two co-chairs," de Mistura said at a press conference.
The special envoy declined to give any further details about his meeting with Lavrov.
