MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed on Thursday in a phone call the coordination of efforts to stabilize the situation in Syria as well as the implementation of the Minsk accords on Ukrainian reconciliation, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
According to a statement posted on the ministry's website, Lavrov and Kerry continued discussion of ways to settle the Syrian crisis, including the coordination of efforts in fight against Islamic State militants.
"The sides also discussed the implementation of February 12 Minsk accords on Ukraine in the context of the "Normandy Four" summit in Paris on October 2, as well as some issues of the bilateral agenda," the statement said.
