Russian Airborne Forces to Introduce 3D Technologies in Training in 2017

The Russian Airborne Forces will start training paratroopers' skills in parachute jumping with the use of 3D technologies in 2017, the Russian Defense Ministry said Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the ministry, the system is equipped with over a dozen of electronic sensors, which will register the paratroopers' moves, while the special 3D glasses will allow to carry out the maximum visualization of the environment.

"The servicemen of the Airborne Forces will start practicing at the special training system UTK VDV in 2017 using three-dimensional imaging technology," the statement read.

UTK VDV, to be deployed in Ryazan, also simulates a parachute control system.
