MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The memorandum, ratified by the Ukrainian parliament on November 2, makes provisions for future joint drills, import of the weaponry and other forms of collaboration on the defense issues.
The document was signed on September 17 by Ukrainian defense chief Stepan Poltorak and UK then-Minister of State for the Armed Forces Penny Mordaunt.
The Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defence Col. Gen. Oleksandr Dublyan said earlier that the memorandum would allow to scrap customs tariffs and value-added taxes on some of the goods traded by the parties to the agreement.
