Special forces deployed in the Russian central region of Tambov have conducted an anti-terrorism exercise with the use of aircraft, drones and armored vehicles, a spokesman for Russia's Western Military District said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The drill also included the use of Tigr infantry mobility vehicles and "all kinds of weapons" available at the special forces unit, Col. Oleg Kochetkov said.

"Servicemen carried out parachute landings from Mi-8 helicopters and secretly took up positions in the area of the special operation. Then, aerial reconnaissance was conducted in the area using Grusha unmanned aerial vehicles," he told reporters.
