    Navy Ship Building Directorate head said that Russian Navy will get an advanced aircraft carrier by 2026-2027.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) The Russian Navy will get an advanced aircraft carrier by 2026-2027, the Navy Ship Building Directorate head, Captain Ι Rank Vladimir Tryapichnikov, said on Saturday.

    "At present, we plan to replace the current Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier with the ship of this class by 2026-2027," Tryapichnikov said in an interview with Ekho Moskvy radio station.

    The official added work on the ship's design is currently underway.
