06:00 GMT 10.11.2018 (Updated: 08:46 GMT 14.02.2023) On Thursday, a powerful cyclone hit the Persian Gulf region, causing heavy rains in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, where employees of Saudi emergency services were sent. On Saturday, heavy rains are also expected in Qatar.
Major rain flows burst through the roof of the King Khalid International Airport near the Saudi Arabian capital, flooding its facilities, the Al Ajil news portal reported Saturday.
The video of the incident shows an enormous amount of water inundating the baggage check system, while the ceiling doesn't appear able to contain any of the intense rainfall.
