    The US-led coalition destroyed 44 Daesh-controlled oil refinement stills as well as 10 oil tankers near the Syrian cities of Abu Kamal and Deir ez-Zor during its Tuesday airstrikes, the Operation Inherent Resolve said in a press release.

    WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — For the second day oin a row, the US-led coalition targeted terrorist-controlled oil assets.

    "In Syria, coalition military forces conducted 14 strikes consisting of 18 engagements against ISIS [Daesh] targets," the Wednesday release said.

    "Near Abu Kamal, five strikes destroyed 19 ISIS oil refinement stills, four weapon caches, four wellheads, three separator tanks and a storage tank. Near Dayr Az Zawr [Deir ez-Zor], six strikes engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed 25 ISIS oil refinement stills, five oil tanks and 10 oil tankers."

    Moreover, near the Syrian city of Raqqa, three airstrikes destroyed a fighting position and a mortar tube.

    Meanwhile in Iraq, the coalition conducted five strikes near the two locations of Mosul and Qayyarah, and destroyed 18 fighting positions, seven medium machine guns, two rocket-propelled grenade, systems, two mortar systems, and two vehicles.
