    Russian Defense Ministry Denies Claims of Airstrikes in Northwest Syria's Idlib

    Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft did not conduct any strikes in the vicinity of the Khan Shaykhun village in Idlib province, according to official statement.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Defense Ministry denied in a statement on Tuesday claims that its jets were involved in the bombing of Khan Shaykhun in northwestern Syria.

    "Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft did not conduct any strikes in the vicinity of the Khan Shaykhun village in Idlib province," the ministry said following media reports alleging that either Syrian government or Russian jets carried out the attack.
