At least one person was killed and two wounded in an attack by a gunman on a restaurant near the Anatolian Fortress in Turkey's Istanbul.

ANKARA (Sputnik) — The shooting was not a terrorist attack, the Hurriyet newspaper reported, citing a police source.

According to the media outlet, a verbal argument resulted in a man opening fire on a person who had killed his father 12 years ago.

Earlier in the day, the NTV television said, citing witnesses, that the attacker was detained by police.
