The foreign ministers of Russia, Turkey and Iran plan to hold a meeting on December 27 to discuss the situation in Syria.
"Today, a telephone conversation took place between our minister and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The ministers discussed the situation in Aleppo, the evacuation of the city's residents and preparations for the planned meeting on Syria in Moscow," the source told RIA Novosti.
The representative added that Lavrov expressed condolences over Saturday's terrorist attack in Kayseri.
On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Turkey was providing assistance in the withdrawal of militants from embattled Aleppo as the Syrian army concluded its recapture of the city.
On Wednesday, Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral relations, as well as the situation in war-torn Syria during a phone call. The two leaders confirmed their readiness to cooperate further in elimination of the terrorist threat in the Middle East region and stressed the necessity to intensify efforts to improve the humanitarian situation in Aleppo.
