Daesh Claim of Downing US Helicopter in Afghanistan Untrue - NATO Mission

No US or NATO helicopters have been shot down in Afghanistan despite claims from Daesh, Resolute Support Public Affairs told Sputnik on Monday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier on Monday, Daesh claimed through its Amaq Agency that militants had shot down a US helicopter that was targeting its positions in the central Afghan province of Ghur.

"No US or NATO helicopters have been shot down," the NATO-led mission stated.
