ICRC Hopes to Use Humanitarian Pause in Aleppo to Evacuate Injured People
Numerous terrorist groups, including the Islamic State and Nusra Front, banned in Russia, fight with government forces to maintain control over Aleppo.

On Thursday, the Russian and Syrian governments agreed to stop airstrikes on Islamist fighters controlling parts of the city to ensure the safe evacuation of civilians from eastern Aleppo via eight designated corridors.

On Friday, the humanitarian pause in Aleppo has been extended for one more day, from 08:00 to 19:00 local time on October 22, however UN failed to evacuate citizens amid safety reasons and continued fighting.
