Syrian Army Repels Daesh's Attack on Deir ez-Zor Airbase

Syrian government forces have repelled a massive offensive by Daesh terrorists on Deir ez-Zor airbase located in country's east.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — There is no yet information on possible losses among Syrian troops and Daesh fighters, Lebanese Al Mayadeen broadcaster said.

Earlier in July, media reported that the Syrian Air Force destroyed Daesh command center in Deir ez-Zor province.

Deir ez-Zor has been surrounded by Daesh militants since 2014.
