"Al-Nusra Front international terrorist group continues to impede the establishment of the cessation of hostilities. During the day, terrorists shelled with mortars and artillery settlements of Handrat, Khader and Kudeihi… and the Nayrab Airport in Aleppo," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
According to the ministry, in the province of Damascus terrorists attacked settlements of Dzhaubar, Kabun and others, while in the province of Idlib they shelled the settlement of Fua.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting numerous opposition factions and Islamic extremist groups.
The Russia-US brokered ceasefire regime in Syria came into force on February 27. Al-Nusra Front and Daesh terrorist groups, outlawed in Russia, are excluded from the truce.
