    Iranian Navy Repels Pirates' Attack on Oil Tanker

    Iran's navy on Saturday morning managed to repel pirates' attack on an Iranian oil tanker around the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, local media said.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Tasnim news agency, about 115 armed pirates on board 12 boats tried to seize the Iranian oil tanker.

    The navy's 41st flotilla managed to prevent two capture attempts. The flotilla comprises Martyr Naqdi and destroyer Lavan aimed at maintaining security in the regional waters.
