MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A number of soldiers were suffocated as a result of the chemical attack on Wednesday, the source told SANA agency.
The source did not specify the type of chemical used by the terrorists.
Chemical weapons reportedly have previously been deployed by rebels groups in Syria’s Aleppo.
On January 4, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons announced that all chemical weapons in Syria had been destroyed. However, in April reports emerged that Islamists could be using and producing chemical weapons in Syria.
