Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Border Police and Israel police have waged a joint operation of 19 West Bank terror suspects detain.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A joint security operation carried out overnight by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Border Police and Israel police has resulted in the arrest of 19 terror suspects in the West Bank, an IDF spokesperson said Tuesday, as cited by local media.

Those arrested have been brought for questioning, the spokesperson added as quoted by The Jerusalem Post.

Israel has experienced a wave of violence since early September 2015, which has left several hundred people dead. Most of the victims are Palestinians who have been killed in knife, firearm and car attacks on Israelis.

In the conflict between Israel and Palestine, Palestinians seek recognition of their independent state on the territories of West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
