WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Several airstrikes have hit warehouses that supplied medical items and fuel to hospital in the Syrian city Aleppo, the US division of the international humanitarian group Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said in a Twitter message on Monday.
"Update from Syria: Warehouses with medical supplies for Aleppo hospitals also being hit by airstrikes," MSF stated. "Ambulances, medical items & fuel destroyed."
On April 28, the al-Quds hospital in Aleppo, supported by the charity organization, was attacked with an airstrike, which directly hit the building, killing at least 50 people.
The advocacy group Human Rights Watch (HRW) called on the UN Security Council to investigate the incident.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting numerous opposition groups, including the Western-backed allegedly moderate factions, as well as terrorist formations.
