MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Nusra Front terrorist group (outlawed in Russia) continues shelling of government forces’ positions in the Syrian Latakia province’s Hara and Handrat areas, the Russian Defense Ministry said Monday.
"In the Latakia province, Jabhat al-Nusra formations continue mortar shelling against the government troops near Hara. Terrorists performed shelling against Handrat from [the settlement of] Muhein Handrat," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
According to the bulletin, militants of Ahrar al-Sham group carried out mortar shelling against Sheikh Maqsood, al-Halidiyah, and al-Suleimonia’s neighborhoods of the Aleppo province.
The same militant group shelled the Qalaz Tahtani settlement in the northern regions of the Latakia province.
