Russian aviation security experts arrived on Sunday evening in the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to carry out security checks in the airport, a source in the airport told RIA Novosti.

CAIRO (Sputnik) — Cairo has done everything possible to improve the security situation in Egyptian airports and is waiting for Russian experts to carry out inspections and resume flights between the two countries, Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry spokesman Ehab Raslan told Sputnik on Thursday, commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement on lifting the air travel ban with Egypt.

"A group of four people arrived from Russia. They will get to work tomorrow," the source said.
