Assad: 80 Countries Provide 'Unlimited Support' to Terrorists in Syria

More than 80 nations, particularly Turkey and Saudi Arabia, have provided financial, logistical and material assistance to terrorist groups, who are fighting in Syria, President Bashar al-Assad told Spain's El Pais newspaper.

The Syrian leader described foreign sponsorship as "active" and "unlimited." Some of those countries support radicals "directly with money, with logistical support, with armaments, with recruitments," he noted. Others help "them politically, in different international forums."

Bashar al-Assad accused Saudi Arabia of being the key financial backer of the militants, who are trying to overthrow him. He also urged the international community to prevent "other countries, especially Turkey, from sending more recruits, more terrorists, more armaments, or any kind of logistical support" to terrorists, if it wants to see an efficient ceasefire in Syria.

The Syrian president also credited Iran and Russia with helping Damascus-led forces to turn the tide of the five-year-long war, calling their assistance "essential" to the Syrian Arab Army's recent successes. These developments are largely seen as the main reason for Saudi Arabia and Turkey's recently expressed readiness to send ground forces to Syria.

If this happens, Damascus would "deal with them like we deal with the terrorists," al-Assad pledged. "We're going to defend our country. This is aggression. They don't have any right to interfere, politically or militarily, in Syria. This is breach of international law, and as Syrian citizens, the only option we have is to fight and defend."

Al-Assad also hailed Russia for being "very precise" in choosing its targets in Syria and said that there was no evidence that Russian warplanes caused civilian casualties.

"Actually, it's the Americans who did this, who killed many civilians in the northeastern part of Syria, not the Russians. I mean, not a single incident happened regarding the civilians so far, because they don’t attack in the cities; they attack actually mainly in the rural areas," he explained.

The USA is presently providing to the terrorist intelligence and satellite information of the Syria army movement. This is the main reason of the so called 50+ USA soldiers in Syria land. Equally, the AWACS (Air Early Warning and Control) that NATO and the USA is operating in Turkey and Syria provide real time information of the Syria army movement. The system can also pinpoint poorly Syria army defended sites to initiate attacks with high probability of success

Bushs,, Clintons and Obama have to face trial. Their hands are immersed in the blood of millions. It is up to the American people to hand them to the proper authorities for trial.

Of the 80 countries many are just oil fields, such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE etc and are not nations in the true sense of the word.

not 80 countries ...only the absolute criminal filth of 80 countries with a seat at the table and feed from the same source, suits and ties, white robes, black ISIS garb, military uniforms, or parading Presidential nominees ,makes no difference .... they have all been warned and their blood will be upon their own heads when they reap in fullness of what they have sown in greed and misplaced loyalty

landauroj, mate, if you disagree with my claim prove that your claim stands at least the smallest substance. I do not and can not trust your word as I have no clue who you are therefore your credibility is zero. Therefore, if you are saying the Americans can do what you have described they can across the whole country of Syria with 50+ people on the ground you are either not telling truth, elevating the American capabilities to unseen heights or being delusional

No, I do not think so!
    • Long live Bashar Al Assad..! Long Live Syria, SAA, Russia Iran Hezballah..! Just deal with them like the terrorists.. No doubt.. terrorists they are..!

Syria MUST keep sending letters to U.N. they won't help.but will serve as reference.

During arguments, Syria will say " but we been sending letter for ages, and no one do nothing"...
The E.U is desperately supporting the FSA. SAUDI is in consults all the time.

Syria MUST demand that only those that are Syrians can participate.
Lavrov MUST consider Syrian desires. Syria want to give immunity IF they put arms down, and un freeze settlements taken. Or under their control.
Then Syrian army acn go take over and they can join the Syrian army, keep their arms, and have immunity.
A sweet deal really. Then political process can begin. But NOT Saudi nor Turkey envoys should be allowed to participate in new Syrian politics.

THIS was done by Syria before. But U.S, E.U , and minions keep on the same, creating terrorism and sponsoring armed conflict.
Reason that ONLY if Russia maintain a big base, may end. Then Syria can patrol borders with confidence.

According to Syrian advisers, laws were erected, and reforms done. BUT west kept doing propaganda.. Just like in Ukraine.

Russia cannot "TAKE A STEP BACK". And open another BIG BASE in Iran. To protect at other side. And another at SINAI.. A big naval , marines one.

What would happen to Article 5 if Greece and Turkey had an incident of some kind (over Cyprus, for instance). Would it crumble the same as TIAR (Tratado Inter-Americano de Asistencia Recíproca) did when the US supported the UK in the 1982 Falklands/Malvinas war?

      US soldiers are terrorists.

Russia is doing a fine job. Sooner or later these 80 countries will feel rather foolish, when they realize that they've backed the wrong side, as well as loosing out on the Syrian rebuilding program.

The Entire Arab Spring is planed by CIA and Mosad and funded by Saud and various financial institution owned by Zionist bankers. There was no real revolution in Libiya or in Syria or in Ukraina. IT is all planed by " The leadres of the Free world " to isolate Russia and allies, first cut of Russian Gas market in Europe, that way they loose most of their budget financing. How do you do that, build a new gas pipeline from Arabia true Syria, turkey to Europe. No Money no Putin, that was their hope. The Rotheshilds will never forgive Putin for nationalizing Yukos oil, just weeks before the real owner ( Jacob Rotheschild ) was to take ower publicly. It is all connected, Gain control of all energy of the middle east, and blackmail the rest of the world to follow you if they want that energy. That way you bring Russia down and that has always been the ultimate goal of the Zionist ruler of the west ever since the Russian czar destroyed Khazar empire many centuries ago. Ever since the Russian czar spoiled their banking plans in the late 1800 and called on Europe to ban their banking practice that he called "usery "

If turkey/ksa invade after a us and Russian ceasefire actually takes hold, they'll get their asses handed to them. The us won't back those Turkish forces in Syria. I wonder now the us plan if turkey invades before a ceasefire, or if they can't get one to work...?

When things settle down in Syria, the country should start its own Hajj.
You see, I spoke to a muslim gentleman who was working in western Canada and he said that he stayed in a camp in Northern Canada while working in the oil industry. When I asked him if they served Halal food to him, the answer was No. He continued, however, if I say Bismullah three times, then I am allowed to eat that meal.
I pondered over this for a long time and I figured, if Syria, the centre of the Arab and Muslim world were to start this Haj and call it Haj Bismullah for the first 3 or 5 years and then omit the Bismullah after that, then they will be able to draw people to their Haj. (I do not know the meaning of Bismullah but I know it is in the first line of the muslim arabic prayer).
They will surely get the Shiites and a fair amount of the other sects (including some sunnis) to begin. It will pick up over time. If marketed properly, It will work.
In the Christian domain, I remember the church announcing that St. Christopher, a patron saint, did not really exist, after Christians paid homage and prayed to him for many centuries.
In reality, after many centuries, a change was made and accepted by the people.
The Haj in Saudi Arabia is really what makes Saudi Arabia powerful and influential in the muslim world. Take that away slowly and see the power fade away.
