MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Moscow regrets that the representatives of the Syrian government were not invited to attend the London Donors Conference on Syria, the Russian ambassador to the United Kingdom said Wednesday.

The conference, led by the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Kuwait and the United Nations, will take place Thursday.

“We regret that everyone was invited to the conference apart from the Syrian government. This indicates that the United Kingdom is continuing the policy of isolating the Syrian authorities in events which are organized with participation of the British side,” Alexander Yakovenko told RIA Novosti.
