Bahraini F-16 Jet Crashes on Saudi-Yemeni Border
09:29 GMT 30.12.2015 (Updated: 10:55 GMT 05.03.2023) A Bahraini air force F-16 jet taking part in airstrikes against Houthi targets crashed in Saudi Arabia near the Yemeni border, the Saudi-led coalition announced on Wednesday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The crash in the coastal Jizan region is thought to be a "technical glitch," the coalition said according to the Al Riyadh daily.

Aircraft commander Capt. Ali Jassim has survived the incident and was hospitalized, the newspaper added.
Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa confirmed the pilot’s safety on his Twitter account.
Bahrain is part of the Saudi-led coalition conducting airstrikes against Houthi positions since March at the request of Yemen’s president in exile.
