BEIRUT (Sputnik) — Two suicide car bombs at roadblocks controlled by the Kurdish YPG militia in northeastern Syria left several people dead and injured on Monday, a YPG source said Monday.
"Both blasts occurred at YPG roadblocks near entrances to the city of Al-Hasakah… There are killed as well as injured," the source told RIA Novosti.
At least four Kurdish troops were killed and a further four injured in the incidents, witnesses told Sputnik.
On September 14, ISIL terrorist group carried out a double terrorist attack in Al-Hasakah, killing over 30 people.
ISIL militants tried to storm the city of Al-Hasakah in late June, but the Syrian army and Kurdish defense forces repulsed the attack and succeeded in taking control of the city as well as some surrounding settlements.
