At Least 25 Injured in School Car Bomb Attack in Syria

At least 25 people were injured Sunday after an explosive-laden vehicle had gone off near a school in the city of Homs in western Syria, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The mini-bus exploded while students were taking exams in a school, situated in a pro-government neighborhood, Syrian TV reported citing local police.

Earlier in the day, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor group put the number of those injured in the blast at 20.

Deadly attacks, including car bomb attacks, have been frequently reported in Homs and other cities across Syria since the outbreak of a civil war in 2011.
