MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Israeli army servicemen attacked camera crew of the RT TV channel in Jerusalem, forbidding to proceed with shooting, the channel said on Sunday.
"Representatives of the Israeli army attacked a correspondent and a cameraman of RT Arabic during coverage of Jerusalem Day. Serviceman damaged the camera and forbade to continue the shooting," the channel said in a statement.
Jerusalem Day is national holiday in Israel that marks reunification of Jerusalem and taking control over the Old City, including sites of crucial religious significance, following the Six-Day War of June 1967.
State ceremonies and services in commemoration of reunification are held on May 17 this year.
