Saudi Arabia King Pledges $266Mln for Yemen Relief Center, Humanitarian Aid
18:22 GMT 13.05.2015 (Updated: 18:36 GMT 13.05.2015) Saudi Arabian King Salman promised on Wednesday to allocate about $266 million for humanitarian aid and a relief center in war-torn Yemen.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Last month, Saudi Arabia allocated another $274 million sought by the United Nations to help victims of the Yemen conflict. King Salman also ordered to give jobs and visas to Yemeni refugees settled in Saudi Arabia.
"We announce that we are setting aside one billion riyals ($266 million) for aid and humanitarian operations… in addition to more than one billion riyals ($274 million) we had already pledged," the king was quoted as saying by the Al Arabiya TV channel.
