A spate of separate attacks by militants in North Sinai's capital El-Arish has left at least three Egyptian policemen and one more retired officer killed, media reports said on Saturday.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but some suspect that the gunmen belong to the Islamic State group's affiliate in Egypt.
Dozens of police officers and soldiers have been killed by militants in the Sinai Peninsula since the Egyptian army toppled the country's Islamist Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi in 2013.
