CAIRO (Sputnik) — Insurgents from a South Yemen separatist movement took control over a western section of the Aden airport on Thursday night, a local source told Sputnik.
Fierce fighting at the airport, between militiamen and the Yemen main opposition Houthi group, for control over the airport continues, according to the source.
The south Yemen insurgents are attempting to liberate southern territories from Houthi militants that have seized large areas in the country, and declare independence of those southern territories.
