MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The fire that had earlier erupted in the 79-floor Marina Torch skyscraper in Dubai has been put out, witness reports on Twitter say.
"No more fire! Amazing job #AED997 — fire on 60 floors been put out in 1.5 hours!!" HR Director Rola Rolzaa, a local witness, wrote on Twitter early Saturday, posting pictures of the building with no signs of flames.

Earlier, RT reported that a fire had started in the middle of the Marina torch building, later spreading across some 15 floors, with strong winds hampering firefighters' attempts to extinguish the flames.

The causes of the fire are still unclear, but, according to media reports, it did not lead to any casualties.

The Marina Torch, also known as Dubai Torch, became the tallest residential building in the world in 2011. The tower is 336 meters (1105 feet) high.
