"In Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, UAE and Iraq RT Arabic is watched by 6.7 million viewers every day," the network's statement said, citing the results of the Nielsen Arab Study.
The network's one-time viewership constitutes 18.2 million people, or 18 percent of the Middle East and North Africa's total population.
Of those, 11.5 million watched the channel in the previous month, surpassing similar ratings of Deutsche Welle Arabic, CCTV Arabic and France 24 Arabic.
RT also leads all its competitors in loyalty. Some 74 percent of its weekly audience said they had watched the channel over the course of the past day.
The survey also found that RT's most loyal viewers were in Iraq. RT's daily viewership there comprises 44 percent of the country's population. A whopping 100 percent of Iraqis who had ever watched RT did so over the past month.
In terms of trust, RT Arabic is unparalleled in comparison to its competition. RT topped Al Arabiya, BBC Arabic, Al Hurra and Sky News Arabia in the ratings, boasting 97-percent trust among those who are aware of the channel.
RT is an international news network, providing 24/7 broadcasting in English, Arabic and Spanish from studios in Moscow, Washington and London. RT is the winner of the 2013 Monte Carlo TV Festival Award for the best 24-hour newscast. The television channel has been nominated for three Emmy awards.
